crickets

That’s a picture of Thelonius the bearded dragon.  In addition to mustard greens and arugula lettuce, he eats crickets.  The crickets make noise, so every thing on TV sounds like it’s taking place in the forest.  Sometimes it’s cool, it’s funny to watch Andy Rooney complain about everything with crickets in the background. It doesn’t work with science fiction all that well.  We’re taking care of him for a few months while our friend Jordan shoots a film or something in New York.  He’s likable if you like lizards. If you are not a lizard person (like me), then you are somewhat skeeved out and mildly curious as to what the hell one is supposed to with something like this.

Very busy day, but I just wanted to clean up the site a bit and address a glaring issue I am having with iWeb, namely, the inability to make comments to a site.

Oh, did I say that?  You can add comments, but only if you host the site on Apple’s .Mac service.  So, even though I paid money for this application (one of a few included in iLife’06), I cannot get full functionality unless I shell out another $100 for Apple’s .Mac service.  This, not unlike .Mac, is lame.  Blogs (okay, I said it) are most useful when people can make comments, when you can actually ask a question and generate a discussion. Out of the discussions, hopefully we come closer to finding some kind of common truth, some kind of gentle consensus and freakish argument.  Comments are necessary, they are part and parcel for a weblog.  I am stunned that Apple has this kind of restriction.  I left them some comments about it, but who knows what will happen.  I am going to try to find some third party hack to get around this stupid feature.

Okay, I gots a job to do.
