So...here’s the update from earlier today:
- I got the new agent! I am now officially being represented commercially by Acme Talent & Literary. I am very, very excited. I have actually been trying to sign with them for awhile (like, a while) and the timing is finally working out. I am really excited (they are a fantastic agency) and, well, I am excited. It’s a big deal. I am was really sad to leave my old agent--the phone call I had with him was one of the toughest calls I have ever had to make--but I had been with him for over a year and it was just time to go. Still, it sucked...oh well. Onward and upward.
- The voiceover audition went really great. Nothing more to say other than it was nice to say hey to a casting director that usually brings me in for on-camera stuff and work in a different capacity. Blew it up.
- The TV show audition went well, also. I actually flubbed a line--mangled it, and laughed and asked if we could just start over, which, frankly, was what you gotta do in that situation. It relaxes everyone, everyone gets to laugh, and you move forward. I would love to go to producers for it, to be honest. But now? I just gotta not think about it.
So, good things all around. The next few weeks are going to be pretty crazed...
