So, out with 2006, really. I got real tired of it, to be honest, especially towards the end. Too many friends getting sick (or worse), too much stress...too ragged, really, to maintain my interest.
I think 2007 will be good, really. I think I went off on this in the past, but odd numbered years have been better for me...graduations, marriage, travel...all odd numbered years. This one’s starting off like crazy. I will be in San Francisco for MacWorld, then off to Tokyo for a press tour starting the 14th. I have a juicy call back in two days and work is looking up, too.
A few things I am thinking about or mentioning:
- Happy New Year! We spent ours at The Derby in LA, surrounded by swingin’ swing dancers. Everyone looked amazing, everyone danced better than me and it we had a blast. I may put some pictures up later if we can find any that are in focus.
- Christmas in Bemidji, Minnesota! Very fun, very mellow, very...Bemidji! I had a lot of fun hanging out with Whit’s family. I actually visited an actual Wal Mart, which I will discuss later -- it was insane, insane, insane. But Christmas was great and it was really nice to hang out and see the holiday from Whit family’s point of view...which, I must say, was very relaxing and ridiculously stress-resistant.
- XBox 360 - Tom got a deal and all of sudden, a bunch of us have 360s. The system’s really tight, the HDTV graphics are insane, the XBox Live features are very, very cool, and the games that I got are awesome. I will do an entry on just this in the future--it deserves a nice stretch.
- Tokyo - I’m going to Tokyo?!!??
I just wanna get this entry up, so I will end it here. I wanted to write during my week off but I never got around to it. I did get a lot of reading done, saw a few good movies and feel pretty energized about 2007. Very much looking forward to it.
