Wow.

So, after starting this entry at least three times over the past few weeks--each one being lost to various kernel panics, some caused possibly by beta copies of the product we are working on others definitely caused by crappy Rosetta stuff going on on the Macbook--I am going to get this thing done.

Let’s figure the past few weeks out:

1 - I am going nutso with my new representation.  I went out more in one week than I did in two years with my first two agents.  I am getting called back about 80% of the time (I got four for four last week and am waiting to hear back on 3 or 4 spots this coming week)... but no bookings yet.  Still, it’s good.  You want the callback, that’s the thing.  Man, i went out for a Superbowl commercial the other day.  That’s insane.  So, I am happy.  I just want to book and show my agents and my manager how much I appreciate al they are doing for me.  All in good time!

2 - Work is actually going just as well, to be honest.  We got out product out on time, and then released it in Europe two days later, then in Japan about a week later.  Usually it can take up to a month for that to happen, so I am pretty relieved.

3 - Went to Vegas last weekend with Henry and Drue.  It was dope and fairly crazed--but fun.  We found a few cool mildly alternative things to do and managed to avoid the cheesefest that Vegas can be.  I will get some pics up, but right now I just want to get this thing written so I am moving on to

4 - One big thing that happened is that we finally went for it and got a 42” plasma HDTV.  I found an excellent price, got it from a local retailer, got a good service plan, and just went for it.  After helping so many other people buy these things, it was really, really strange to pull the trigger and bust it.  So far, I am really happy--I won’t get into the full nitty gritty right now, but suffice to say, it looks better than any plasma I have seen (especially for the price)...it’s got a black rival that is at least as good as the CRT I had before (10,000:1 contrast ratio, it seems like most other plasmas get about a 3,000:1 ratio, which means that their black levels look more like dark gray, which has always been the thing that has pissed me off about plasmas in the past) and it looks WAY better in the apartment than the massive gorilla-ass TV we had before.  Whit’s happy with that--our apartment looks way bigger now, and I must admit, the whole HDTV thing is pretty sweet.  Years of waiting has paid off.  I will have a more fully realized “review” of this stuff in the future, but it’s rocking.

5 - Halloween is coming and we are busting out the halloween bus again.  This year the theme is Vikings.  I was skeptical at first but once we picked up the fur and some other materials, I just worked on it like a costume for a play and it all fell into place.  I actually did a few sketches of what the outfit would look like and then went from there!  You’ll see pictures later, but I will admit, the costume looks really good so far.

So, there you go.  A quick overview of the past few weeks.  Auditions, work, new TV and viking costume.

It gets better, I am sure.
