Okay, so a few things:
1 - yes, that is Jessica Biel in the LiveEarth spot. I was trying to make it a bit of a surprise for my friends who had no idea I had done the spot (I was sworn to secrecy!). I wrote a while back (I can’t remember when, sorry) about doing a shoot with all this paparazzi and stuff...here are the photos. So random. Anyway, I can honestly say that Jessica was very nice, very gracious, incredibly professional (she had about an hour and still did two spots and associated voiceovers) and, in the end, was just cool. Getting the call was kind of great--I was at an audition and when I got out, had a voicemail, “Hey, this is ___ and Peter Chelsom is directing a PSA with Jessica Biel and wants to know if you can make it tomorrow to film it!” That was a really nice moment, I must admit.
Everyone on the PSA volunteered their time and equipment, by the way--it was really, really cool to see everyone be so professional and just into it, regardless of anyone getting paid or not. I am really grateful and, yes, proud to have been a part of it.
2 - Had an audition today for a new show on ABC (Pushing Daisies) that went pretty well...it was for a very small part and I normally wouldn’t mention it but it came about because of my demo reel. Pretty exciting, right? I have been waiting to get that thing together for months with the hope that once it went up, it would generate more opportunities and so far, so good!
3 - Off on vacation starting Friday. Think I mentioned that. I am looking forward to this way too much...work is really busy and I have feeling the next few months will busier than ever, which is good, but a little daunting.
4 - Finally, on the current events front, I am all bent out of shape with the testimony of the previous Surgeon General. Bent like a paper clip that’s been in a blender and then recycled into a more complex paper clip.
okay! time to get back to it. I have updated the clips so they load more efficiently, too.
